SNOW XUE GAO
Watch our Tasoni Talks, where we talk to designer Snow Xue Gao about how she strikes a balance, whether in her work life under quarantine, or with the dictomies she plays with in her designs.
Snow Xue Gao caught the eye of the fashion world with her graduate MFA show at Parsons New School of Art and Design, leading to a place in the V-Files fashion show during NYFW. Her trademark look incorporates deconstructed tailoring, transforming traditionally Eastern and Western dress codes into an entirely new hybrid. The resulting look is especially intriguing as the juxtapositions between East and West, feminine and maculine, are not seamlessly woven together, but instead retain a strange, half-and-half symmetry—graceful in its own unique way.
Nominated for the LVMH Prize and the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list, she won the prestigious Swarovski & Vogue Talents New Generation Award, showing promising new frontiers for the visionary, sustainable young label.
