The Raf Simons Archive Redux is a reissue of 100 pieces from his archives, marking the label’s 25th anniversary in 2020. Raf Simons curated different moments from the brand’s history and geared it to the current cultural moment. The selected pieces he chose, though designed in the past, have an instinctive relevance to the world of today. “It was not so easy to decide,” Raf Simons acknowledges. “Was it emotional? Maybe in certain moments, because it is very much connected to memories. We hang out in the archives sometimes … but this time we were dissecting everything which was interesting. There were things that I was like, ‘We made that?’” Positioned as a retrospective, Archive Redux gives a new generation a chance to experience iconic pieces from the Raf Simons catalog.
