HEAVEN & COPERNI
Coperni’s Swipe Handbag has quickly become a cult favorite amongst those who are in-the-know. Inspired by the “slide to unlock” motion of an iPhone, this futuristic bag is beloved for its striking yet practical silhouette. This season, Coperni partnered with Heven to render the Swipe Bag in an unprecedented material: glass.
Heven consists of glass-blowing artists Breanna Box and Peter Dupont. Speaking to i-D about the construction of this collaboration’s pieces, Box stated, “The tricky thing about this bag — and we’re blessed to be able to work with other fabricators at Brooklyn Glass who are far beyond our skill level — is that it’s one piece. Even though we were working with Josh [Raiffe] who’s been doing glass forever, it was a hard piece to make!”
Since the bag’s release, the Coperni x Heven Swipe Bag has been seen on Kylie Jenner, Doja Cat, and many more notable celebrities. The bag’s striking appearance and unconventional fabrication has made it a red carpet and street style favorite.
