Courrèges Vinyl: Contemporary Silhouettes of Space Age and Geometry

Artistic director of Courrèges Nicolas Di Felice has successfully captured the essence of the Courrèges of the 60s while still iterating for today’s modern

woman. “André Courrèges really wanted to put his fashion in the streets,” said Di Felice, “everybody talks about him – the future, space age, but space

age was a trend. He was a passionate guy; he just wanted to dress women.” The Fall 2022 Ready to Wear collection features shift cutouts dresses and

halter bandeaus worn over hip-slung pants - an offshoot of the 1976 dress - as well as vinyl and metallic over-the-knee boots, long dresses, and

statement earrings.

As a result of combining these modern interpretations with former classics, Di Felice has successfully revived the vinyl jackets, leather pants and the

miniskirts - all pieces that gave the founder of the brand, André Courrèges, worldwide recognition in the sixties.
