Julie Kegels, a graduate of Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts, has already made a name for herself in the fashion world. Before launching her label in 2024, she honed her skills at the iconic house of Alaïa, interning under the direction of Pieter Mullier. This experience influenced Kegels’ daring approach to design, which blends classical craftsmanship with contemporary, boundary-pushing aesthetics.


The debut collection ‘50/50’ brings a fresh and bold perspective to Tasoni. Her pieces are defined by their unconventional pairings and playful contrasts. For example, above-the-knee granny socks, with their sensible length, surprise and intrigue with a translucent material —turning a classic accessory into a statement piece. Similarly, her wool skirts are reimagined with unexpected elements, such as shortened denim rears that redefine the balance between structured tailoring and casual ease.
